Everything you need to know about permanent eyeliner

When people talk to us or we read about permanent eyeliner, we sometimes think back to that trend from a few years ago of lining the eyes with a thick black line that made the eyes look harsh.

However, these days, 99% of women are looking for a natural look for their everyday routine—one that works just as well with light makeup as it does with party makeup.

The answer lies in permanent eyeliner, a micropigmentation technique that enhances the eyes’ natural radiance, giving the gaze more expression and making the lashes appear darker, fuller, and thicker.

In addition, this micropigmentation can be performed on just the upper lash line, the lower lash line, or both, depending on the desired result.

To apply this permanent eyeliner, we can use two techniques: eyelash lining or eyeliner application.

On the one hand, eyelinermakes thelasheslook fuller and darker by filling in the gaps between them, and it’s barely noticeable when your eyes are closed.

On the other hand, eyelinercreates the effectof a defined linealong the upperlashline, the lowerlashline, or both. This helps achieve a beautiful “cat-eye” look, which makes the eyes appear larger while enhancing their natural shape and color.

But how is an eye micropigmentation session performed?

At Landi Studio, we perform the procedure in two sessions. In the first session, we study the shape and unique characteristics of your facial features to then sketch the desired result in pencil; once approved, this design will be applied to the sub-epidermis. The micropigmentation technique is performed using a disposable micro-needle pen—a technique similar to tattooing, but much less painful and more delicate.

In the second session, we will focus on refining the shape and color to ensure the result is as perfect and long-lasting as possible.

Which of the two techniques is right for you?

If you usually wear makeup every day, love black eyeliner, and want to save time on your daily makeup routine, eyeliner is perfect for you. If, on the other hand, you're looking for a more natural look that makes your lashes appear thicker and fuller, we recommend eyelash tinting. And if you have any questions, just ask us! We'll recommend the best option for you.
